Scripps Hospital La Jolla Solo Exhibit
About
Solo Exhibit at Scripps La Jolla Hospital: A Journey Through Serene LandscapesI am thrilled to announce my solo exhibit at Scripps La Jolla Hospital, featuring 13 pieces of artwork that blend acrylic, oil, and textile mediums. This collection, inspired by atmospheric landscapes, was thoughtfully curated to create a serene setting for the staff, patients, and families who traverse the long hallway where the pieces are displayed.
Understanding the unique environment of a hospital, the curator requested that the artwork avoid bold colors such as black and red, as well as abstract designs. This intentional choice was made to ensure that the artwork does not distract or overwhelm patients who may be experiencing the effects of medication during their journey along the corridor. Instead, the focus was placed on creating a tranquil atmosphere that fosters calmness and reflection.
All 13 pieces share a common perspective, inviting viewers to experience the beauty of nature from a unified vantage point. Each painting captures the essence of the landscapes I hold dear, allowing the viewer to momentarily escape the clinical surroundings of the hospital and find solace in the natural world.
