Art de Facto is an artistic organisation, photo studio, and gallery, that was founded in 2001 in Zagreb. Our areas of interest include photography, multimedia, film, publishing, and exhibition. With our exhibition projects "Intime" (2006 at the Klovićevi dvori Gallery) and "Excentar" (2007 at the Josip Račić Gallery), we brought together performance, video/film, and traditional exhibit setups into one. We had focused our work on art from the 1970s to the present day, and also on the "culture of memory" and the relationship between contemporary art and the traces of the past (see the book "Goli otok"). Art de Facto also produced films about one of the greatest art performers Antonio Gotovac Lauer and the art group Biafra, which operated in Zagreb from 1970 to 1978.
