L'Union de Paris is a gallery for modern and contemporary Bulgarian art. Gallery L'Union de Paris presents exhibitions of recognizable authors, with a definite presence in the art scene in Bulgaria, as well as supports the development and affirmation of young artists who are at the very beginning of their career. Gallery L'Union de Paris founded in 2001 by Pavlina Marinova and Emil Pungerov. It is located in Plovdiv’s ideal centre - a few steps away from the main pedestrian street, the Old Town and other major cultural and tourist attractions. Situated on an area of 120 square meters in a 100-year-old cultural monument building, designed by the famous Plovdiv architect Dimitar Popov (1881-1950). Over the years, the owners of L'union de Paris create a rich collection of works by the authors they work with, consisting of various forms of visual art – painting, sculpture, objects, graphics. Thanks to their purposeful activity, today the gallery has one of the most interesting and high-quality collections of classical modernism and contemporary Bulgarian art. The main themes of the growing collection are tangential to the idea of continuity and contrast between several generations of contemporary Bulgarian artists.
