Residual Kinships
About
Featured in this exhibition is a diverse collection of artworks where artists engage with alternative ontologies. Through their creations, they reveal the nuanced entanglements that extend from and beyond the human body. These works go beyond the ordinary, navigating the delicate balance between individual identity and the shared tapestry of existence.
"Residual Kinship" challenges hegemonic perspectives, providing you with a glimpse into the interconnectedness that weaves its way through even the most fragmented aspects of our lives. This thought-provoking journey will unravel the mysteries of your relationships, prompting you to embrace the residual kinship that binds you to the world beyond yourself.
I am Mila Miloševski, a 23-year-old independent exhibition curator, currently living and working in Amsterdam, Netherlands. I am currently finishing my BA in Media and Culture, with minors in Restoration and Preservation of Cultural Heritage as well as Gender and Sexuality Studies. Art, for me, is a symbol of visceral experience that has the power to transcend time and connect people. From an early age, I found myself drawn to the world of creativity, and as I embarked on my academic journey, the spark of curatorial curiosity ignited within me. What drives me is the desire to create exhibitions that not only showcase artistic brilliance but also tell stories that resonate with diverse audiences. I believe in the transformative power of art to challenge perspectives and bring people together. My journey is marked by a commitment to inclusivity, seamlessly weaving together traditional and contemporary expressions. Whether discovering emerging talents or bridging the gap between different art forms, I thrive on curating spaces that spark dialogue and connection.
