The Green Wood Beckons is a vibrant green oil painting showing a path through a green wood with a deer stag watching from between the trees. It is 30x30x1.5 inches and is contemporary and semi-abstract in style. It was inspired by the happiness I feel when walking through a spring wood when the sun shines through the new leaves and casts green light all around. A deer stag observes from between the trees on the right. I do occasionally spot deer in forests but it is not easy as they hear me thrashing around before I get to see them and hide – usually by standing totally still and being complet
