About
This is a unique collection of female artists' eyes on the etching technique, celebrating the diversity of their artistic vision and versatility of copper plate etching. A few of these prints that particularly resonate with us at the Villa Lena Foundation are Celia Hempton's gritty and voluptuous Stromboli volcano erupting, a scene she witnessed not long before her residency whilst field recording; and Kate Groobey's tuscan farmer, a timeless elixir of colours and peace, of land and men.
