About

Home is where the heart is, where the food and colours smell familiar, where the sounds bring up memories of your childhood. The notion of home will always remind each and every one of us of their past to a varying degree. Home however is not a universal statement nor a recognisable image. It carries significant meaning but is nevertheless profusely individual and unique, shaping who we are and who we will be. It is through art that we are able to question our assumptions and experiences and explore what the concept of home means to us.
Searching for Home aims to provide the online platform for artists who pursue this quest in their work, showcasing the immensely complex and endlessly fascinating cultural playground that is Greece. Because of the own cultural background of the curator the choice has been made to focus on the art space in Greece specifically, in the hopes of finding home through the chosen artworks for themselves too.
